Feather Light

Feather Light - Time for a new challenge at both Crafts 4 Eternity and Alphabet Challenge Blog. At Alphabet Challenge Blog, the challenge is F for feathers and at Crafts 4 Eternity the challenge is to use scraps.

Everything on the card is a scrap, except for the pom pom ribbon. That was new.

The sentiment is SU, as is the 2 punches that I used for it.

Here is a close up of my feathers. I bought the stamp at a yard sale about 4 years ago. This is the first time that I have used it. I stamped them with Versa mark and then wet embossed them.

The flower was in the cake decorating aisle several years ago. There were about 300 in the package and I still have well over 200 of them, so you can expect to see them again at some point in the future. I shaped it with a McGill shaping set and added a gemstone to the center.

Woodland Critters

Woodland Critters - It is time for a new challenge at the Sweet Pea Stampers. This challenge is an easy one. Birthday!!! See, I told you it was an easy one.

You don't have to use a Sweet Pea stamp/digi image, but they are so beautiful that you will want to. So hop on over and take a peek at our designers inspiration and then look through the gorgeous images of the Sweet Pea artists.

My Designer paper is MME, Unforgettable. I inked the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink.

My image is the gorgeous Autumn Trio by ©ching chou kuik's Autumn Trio also available in digi,

I colored her with Copics and used a white poster paint pen to put the highlights and the tiny white dots on the mushrooms. The lace on her headpiece received some Stickles. Even a woodland gal needs some sparkle.

My sentiment is Hot Off the Press. The tiny pearls I bought from Pizzazz Aplenty. Judy has the best prices around for her gorgeous pearls and bead supplies.

My border punch is EK Success.

Princess

Princess - Here is my design team project for Creative Card Crew. Our challenge for this fortnight is girly.

My designer paper is MME, Market Street. All papers were inked with Vintage Photo distress ink.

My image is one of my favorites from A Day for Daisies, Pearls in my Hair. I colored her with Copics and added some pearls made with Viva Decor' pearl pen.

My flowers are Susan Teirney's Dogwood dies. The branch is a Cricut cut. I don't remember which cartridge I used. I cut it long ago and found it in my stash.

The sentiment is part of the designer paper.

Yippee!

Yippee! - It is time for a new sketch at Seems a Little Sketchy. I hope you will join us. We don't get many entries, so if you use our sketch, you have a good change at winning. We also put up future sketches so that you can have a card/project ready to go as soon as the link goes up.

My designer paper is Bo Bunny, Surprise Collection.

Here is our sketch. You will have to go and see what my team mates did with the sketch.

We are sponsored by MyGrafico. MyGrafico sells their images by the set and this set is called Aeroboy. You get a lot of images in this set. It even includes sentiments for the theme.

I colored this little dude with Copic's and added Glossy Accents to his glasses/googles.

My "ribbon" is really long balloons. I thought it would be a cute little extra for a birthday child. I don't know that I will use balloons again. I can't tell you how many times I tied the balloons and I still am not happy with the way they look.

Inara

Inara - This is my new granddaughter Inara. I made this page of her using the sketch for Crafts 4 Eternity. I made a page with the sketch, but you can make a card or another craft using the sketch to enter our challenge.

Isn't the sketch a great one! So easy to use. I flipped it.

I don't know which company made the papers. They were whole sheets, but they have been in my stash for I don't know how long. who

Inara is such a doll in this photo of her in a tutu. Her daddy says she has old lady feet. Wasn't it nice of him to say that I have the feet of a baby?

My punch is a MS. The flower is the scrap of a trim that I fashioned in a flower. I added gemstones to the center of the trim flower and the flowers in the border.

I used 3-D Stamp Paint on the edge of the paper. IRL it sparkles.

We are sponsored by Crafts 4 Eternity and one lucky winner will win 3 digi stamps from Crafts 4 Eternity.

Peacock Under the Sea

Peacock Under the Sea - Hi, dear crafting friends! It is time for a new fortnightly challenge at the Sweet Pea Stampers. Our challenge for this fortnight is Mermaids. My favorite for Sweet Pea images. They have so many gorgeous mermaids.

You don't have to use a Sweet Pea image to play along, but we have an extra prize for a Sweet Pea image only.

My papers are Bo Bunny, Key Lime/ I love the bold colors in this pad. It really makes a statement.

My Sweet Pea image is ©ching-chou kuik's The Serene Night in rubber, also available in digi.

I colored her up with Copics and added Stickles to her tail fins, the peacock and the embroidery on her kimono, and a little hint of Rock Candy Stickles on the cherry blossoms.

My cherry blossoms are stems that I cut off and then I also used a tiny gemstone swirl. The ribbon is from a VBS Fishers of Men ribbon.

Flitting Here and There

Flitting Here and There - This fortnights challenge at Creative Card Crew is "Spring." I don't know what your weather is like, where you live, but I am starting to see buds on the trees and we are having thunder storms.

With that said, we are gearing up for tornado season. After last May, I am finding myself getting nervous and really paying attention. If you did not pick up on what I am referring to, I live in Moore Oklahoma, where a F-5 tornado ripped through last May, taking out 2 elementary schools among other things. My grandson was in 1 of those 2 schools and 7 children from his school did not survive.

We are sponsored by Marianne Designs and Lacy Sunshine. My image is Lacy Sunshine's Sky Lynn. She is a really sweet image. I colored Sky Lynn with Copic's. I added Stickles to the trim and belt of her kimono. I also added Stickles to the butterflies.

My DP is MME Collectable Notable. I love the citrus colors in this pad. I added some butterflies using orange card stock in an ombre' fashion. I used a variety of butterfly punches and used Stickles and pearls on them.

My sentiment and punches are SU.

Spring Lamb

Spring Lamb - Don't you just love this sweet little lamb? I do!

It is time for a new sketch at Seems a Little Sketchy and here is my DT card!!!

This is the sketch. What do you think?

We still don't get very many entries at Seems a Little Sketchy and this gives you an excellent chance to win. We are also a fortnightly challenge, so you have 2 weeks to get it in after seeing our DT takes on the sketch.

We even give you our sketches in advance, so you can use a sketch that isn't even live yet. This means that you can use it for a DT card that will go live in the future.

We are sponsored by Robyn's Fetish and I used this sweet little lamb of their's. I colored it with Copic's and added Stickles to the collar. The clouds were made with Tumbled Glass distress ink and a template.

My die cut is a new company for me. It came with the magnetic plates that I recently purchased by Genius. I really love the shape.

My punched border is MS and I added tiny pearls in silver to it. The ribbon is American craft and then I added a black button.

My Sentiment and both punches are SU. I used more of the Frosted Stickles to the edge.

Wash Day

Wash Day - Today's challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity is anything but a card. We are sponsored by Crafty Sentiments Designs. The prize is 3 digis.

I was a little baffled by this, but then I noticed this recipe for handmade laundry detergent and decided to give it a try.

I made these for a gift exchange that I do with my crafting friends. For the reciepe and these pretty tags for them, I found it on a site called: How Does She?

I ran these tags with my Cuttlebug with this embossing folder to give it some extra texture and I used some fabric and eyelash yarn to tie the tags on with.

I love this laundry soap!!! It got out a stain on something that I only wear under another shirt because of the stain. While it did not get out every old stain that I had, even my husband commented on how much cleaner and brighter the clothes looked. Not to mention that it is a lot cheaper.

The best part of this project is that my grandchildren had a ball making this. I added some to the containers and they had the job of shaking them. They thought it was a hoot!

They also got to help shred the bars of soap. My daughter did make the comment that next time we should do it outside, that way if the kids spill some it is not as much of a mess. I must add that my table and kitchen floors were very clean when we finished!

Here is the card and goodie bags that I gave out as a set.
