Blue Romance

Blue Romance - It is time for new challenges at 2 of my teams that I design for.

Crafts 4 Eternity's challenge is Texture. Alphabet Challenge blog's challenge is B for buttons and bows. While the button and bow is easy to spot, the texture is a bit more difficult to spot.

I did not use any designer paper for this card. I used scraps of white, ran it through the Cuttlebug with a QuicCuts folder, then used Rangers, Stormy Sky distress ink and ran the pad over the design a few times. I love the way it can out. This added some texture to the card.

My image is SU Rue Des Fleurs stamp. I added a little Copic B95, 93, and 91 to the corset. I added blue flower soft to the flowers. The image was cut with a SU die cut.

I tied the bow with my Bow Easy and added a button.

Here you can see all the texture!

Speedy Recovery

Speedy Recovery - It is time for a new challenge at Creative Card Crew. Today we are making Get Well cards. With so many people having the flu, it is a good time to do this.

So far, we have been lucky at my house, although my daughter has had some at her house. The school that I serve on the school board with has had a lot of Strep.

My Designer paper is Bo Bunny's Surprise! Collection. While many of the papers are very birthday, some of them are just nice bright, primary colors and those are always nice for little boy cards.

My image is by Image That! I need lots of little boy cards, so I thought they would like love to be cheered up by this awesome dude.

I colored the image with Copics and added some stenciling around the edges. The sentiment is also by Image That! We are also sponsored by the Scrapping Center. So come on over to at Creative Card Crew and help us cheer up the world with Get Well wishes!

Lil Angel

Lil Angel - It is time for a new challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy. I made this sketch and I must say that I enjoyed using it. I hope you will come and play along with.

** Tip** Our future sketches are posted on a page on the challenge blog, so you can use it to plan ahead on DT projects and then wait for it to go live and then post it.  I always color up my images ahead of time, then hope to be able to catch a sketch challenge will a date that is still going on for when the post goes live.

Here is this fortnights sketch.

We are sponsored by Lacy Sunshine and I used her Winter Angel Food image. Isn't she a doll? I colored her with Copics and even used my airbrush on her. I added Stickles on her wings and halo. The image was cut using the Off the Die method with a SB.

My DP is Bo Bunny's C'est La Vie Collection. My sentiment is Stampin Up; as is the punch that punched it out. I used distress inks on the edges of the paper. I also used 4 flatback pearls on the sentiment that I popped up using pop dots.

I finished off the card with bows that were tied using my Bow Easy.

Steam Punk Babe

Steam Punk Babe - Steam Punk is not my favorite style, but since it is the challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity, I tried my hand at it and I am pleased with the outcome. One thing about being on a design team is that it forces you to move out of your comfort zone and that is a good thing!

I hope you like my card as much as I do.

I started my card with some Tim Holtz designer paper, Vintage Shabby.  I inked everything with Frayed Burlap distress inks. I also used lots of pink Fran-tage embossing powder. Fran-tage is such a fun product to use.

My image is Steam Punk Vivian, by our sponsor, Sassy Studio Designs. I colored her with Copics and cut her with a SB die. I added some metal wings that I won in a challenge. I also used some cheese cloth under the cut image.

My flowers are made using the designer paper and cutting them with a SB Posy die. I stacked and wet them to  shape them around a paper piercer. I coiled some colored wire around a paintbrush to spiral it. I used a Bow Easy to tie the bow.

The card was finished off with 3 lt coffee colored pearls.

Winter Night

Winter Night - We have a new challenge up at Crafts 4 Eternity. Our challenge this week is a sketch challenge.

I think it is a lovely sketch. I almost did a scrapbook page with it. I think it would be a great layout for a page.

My DP's are K and Company's Julianne. This pad has such pretty blues in it.

My image is Delicious Doodles, Lycaonia. I had watched a tutorial on coloring a night scene with Sandy Allnock and this is my take on it. I love the way it came out. I though it was pretty good for a first attempt.

I finished off the card with 3 blue pearls.

Wind in my Hair

Wind in my Hair - It is time for another challenge at the Sweet Pea Stampers. Our challenge this fortnight is Vintage. You don't have to use a Sweet Pea Stamp to play along with us, but we do have a 2nd prize that is awarded to a a project that did use a Sweet Pea image.

My image is  Follow Your Heart by Using Helena Reis. This is available in digi only.

My heart die is MB, the leave is SB; as is the die that cut the image and mat.

Got Flu?

Got Flu? - KISS (Keep It Simple and Sweet) is not my normal style, but I loved making this one.

It is my DT card for Creative Card Crew. We had a lot of redraws, so please check there if you have entered Creative Card Crew in the last 2 months.

My image is Roosting by QKR Stampede. Isn't it a fabulous image?

I colored it with Copics. I marbleized with Copic's for the background. I am taking a new Copic class that is all about backgrounds. I have been coloring for a while now and decided that it was time to step up my game and start doing something with the backgrounds. Marie Gambler is the instructor and her backgrounds are fabulous!

Got Game?

Got Game? - We have a new challenge up at Seems a Little Sketchy and our design team call is also still open. But hurry the call closes tomorrow!

Here is our new sketch. I very simple one this time around.

For my card, I started with designer paper from Bo Bunny. The pad is titled, Family is. I thought this scrabble board was perfect for a "game" card. The colors were perfect; as my son is a huge Dallas Stars hockey team fan.

The star was cut with my Cricut.

The image is Kenny K Downloads, Anime Hockey. I just love Kenny K's images. The are such great expressions and his wife, who runs the business side of Kenny K's is such a sweet heart. She wrote me the kindest letter when she found out that I lived in Moore where the F5 tornado ripped through last May.

There is a Valentine Freebie on the Kenny K Downloads site. Be sure to go there and snap it for yourself.

My Anime Hockey player was colored with Copics. I finished off my card with a button and some baker's twine. The black button reminded me of a hockey puck.

Pink and Black Valentine

Pink and Black Valentine - Our challenge this week at Crafts 4 Eternity is valentines or love themed projects. This is my valentines for my crop group. Milly and Betty don't look!

My card is a really simple one. I used Yellow Bicycle's Love Letter DP.

The "rose" is made with a strip of pink fabric and Scrap Happy glue. Word to the wise, I used wax paper for the glue foundation and it did not come off like it did in Melissa's video at the Rubber Cafe. Try something else. I ended up having to cut close to the flower, in order to hide the wax paper.

The leaf is SB. The swirls are Want 2 Scrap.

The border is also a SB die. I really love how elegant it is.

I stamped my sentiment inside.

Here is the lot of them. One for each of the ladies.
