Hello

Hello - It is time for a new sketch challenge at Sunday Sketch and Stamp.

My DP are MME Dilly Dally. I think I bought this paper pad just for the wood planks paper. I love this paper!!!!! So weathered and yet some unique colors.

Here is the lovely sketch for this challenge. I hope all of you will join in our challenge.

My image is SU, stamped with Peacock Feathers distress ink. I then used clear embossing powder and heat set.

The main image was cut with a SU die. The smaller raised image was stamped with a sentiment from the same set.

I stamped the image a second time and cut the inside out this time.

The ribbon is also SU and was double wrapped using my Bow Easy.

The yellow pearls were made with my yellow pearl pen.

Hatched

Hatched - It is time for another great challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge. Our challenge this week is... for a child! I thought this would be an easy challenge, but it took a little more thinking on my; as I wanted to make it for a male child. Everyone knows how hard those pesky male cards can be!

My DP are MME kaleidoscopic  I have 2 blocks of this pad and I have used and used it, but still have lots more paper!!! I think it is perfect for young males, with it's vibrant colors.

The blue and gold sparkly things are brads that were dipped in UTEE, then in glass glitter. I really like how sparkly they are.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Dustin Pike. This sweet little dragon is one of his images. I colored the image with Copic's. I also tried something new with this image. I added charcoal and smudged it to deepened the shadows. I tried spraying a clear sealer on it, but my colors ran and I had to color another image. Ouch!!! That hurt!! So this is actually my second go at coloring it! I do like the charcoal on it and I will diffidently be adding it to more of my projects.

This image reminded my DIL of this sweet little baby bird that had left the nest and been unable to fly. They had chased  away a cat that was circling and had become rather fond of watching it pratice flying. Two days later they noticed the family dog chewing on something and were horrified to realize it was the baby bird. My DIL still gets mad at the dog and this image made her think of that. I told her the dragon was just helping the bird hatch and I am sure that as there is no fire, that the dragon means no harm to the bird.

My sentiment is Hot Off the Press.

Very Vintage

Very Vintage - The challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity this week is Very Vintage. It is so fun to do vintage. I enjoy it so much, but I rarely do it. I not sure why.

My papers are K and Company's Ancestry. I have had this pad for several years and it is always fun to pull it out. I inked all of my papers with Vintage Photo distress inks. The ribbon was also aged using the same ink.

The circle was created using one on my new SB grands. I love them and my new Grand Caliber machine.

The chipborad keys and not really chipboard at all. I cut draft cardstock with my Cricut using the Sentimental cartridge several times, then stacked them to get the thickness. After stacking them, I used my gold acrylic dabber and dabbed it on thickly. I wanted the bumpy texture! After it dried, I embellished each key with 3 rhinestones.

For my stickpin, I used several beads. I added a teal feather and 3 pearls that were made using my pearl pen.

I am

I am - It is time for another challenge at Creative Card Crew and I thought I would do a page this time; as we are sponsored by the Scrapping Center!

My designer papers are K and Company's Small Wonders.

This page I made for my grandsons baby books. That's right, these 2 cuties are my grandson. The oldest is Jace and he just turned 3 and his younger brother is Cal. Cal just turned 1.

The balloons were cut with my trusty Cricut and CM Storks Delivery cartridge. I added some lime bakers twine and the stickers are CM.

This ruffle is made of paper and not ribbon. It took a lot of time to hand pleat it, but I really like it. I took a lot of teasing at the scrap booking retreat where I made this at. I only got this and it's companion page times 2, done the entire week-end.

I had moved from Dallas to Oklahoma City about a year and a half earlier and it was last minute that I went, so not only was I not very organized for the retreat, I was so happy to see my old friends and was running around chatting with everyone. I also had the longest drive of anyone there and was very tired upon my arrival.

I added some sparkly highlights on the fish and snail on the upper border, but it is hard to see in the photos.

Craft Us Crazy #37 Favorites - These 2 cuties are definetly favorites of mine. But then again, so are my other 4 grandchildren!

Momma and Me

Momma and Me - It is time for another glorious sketch challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy. This fortnight we are sponsored by My Heart Pieces and Squigglefly.

Take a look at Jenn's sketch. Isn't it beautiful!!! and so easy to use.

My papers are SU and they all got some Vintage Photo distress inks.

My image is My Heart Pieces, Momma and Me. I think they are adorable!!! I colored them with Copic's and added some Stickles to the purse, flame and shift on the girl.

My flower are stems and a Prima leaf. The bow was tied using my Bow Easy. I love that tool. So simple but it makes the bows so simple to tie.

My sentiment is Hot Off the Press and I cut it with  Tim Holtz  tattered banner die.

Red Sketchers

Red Sketchers - Today's challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge is to use the below sketch. Isn't is a great sketch? Very easy to use.

We are sponsored by Kenny K Downloads. I love his funky urban style. This image was recommended by my Copic teacher to practice Hispanic skin and hear. I still don't have this technique mastered and I must continue to practice.

My image is Kenny K's Uptown Angel. I do like her hair. I colored her with Copic's and added Stickles to the roll on her sleeve, the metal on her belt and one of her wrist bands.

My papers are MME Dilly Dally. All my papers are all distress with my Zutter, Distrezz It All.

My butterfly is a Cheery Lynn die.

My sentiment is Hot off the Press, as was the tiny butterfly stamp.

My vine is Cheery Lynn again and the flower is a trimmed stem. I added a red gemstone to the middle. Then finished off the card with 3 more red gemstones.

You Are

You Are - I finally have found time to write this post. My daughter and her children have been so sick lately that I have had so little time for crafting or blogging. The youngest is sick again, but napping at the moment, so I am taking advantage of a few spare moments and writing this post.

This is the Valentines that I made for my Wednesday crop group. We shared our Valentine creations yesterday, so I need not worry if they will see it and give away my surprise. One good thing about being so busy with sick little ones!

My DP is Noteworthy by Making Memories. Everything was inked with Victorian Velvet.

All of the dies are Spellbinders, to include my new grands. The sentiment is Inkadinkado. I stamped it with Memento Black and used fine black embossing powder.

My stickpin is made with a lot of beads from my favorite bead shop, Pizzazz Aplenty.

My bow is made with seam binding from SU and I dyed it with my Copic's refill. This one is R32.

The bow was tied using my Bow Easy.

Rope Swing

Rope Swing - This is my DT project for Crafts 4 Eternity and Alphabet Challenge Blog. The challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity is Teddy Bear Picnic. The challenge at Alphabet Challenge Blog is A = Anything with Wings.

My DP are K and Company Nature. I love the papers in this pad.

I could not resist using this sweet little fairy bear from Stamp Fairy. Isn't she the cutest?

I colored her with Copics and added Stickles to her wings, bow and bodice. I thought it would be fun to extend the ropes on her swing a little further out with twine, that I hung from a "tree branch." The branch is a Quick Kut die that I inked.

The wings on the fairy are small and hard to see, so I added another winged thing with a butterfly. The butterfly is a MS butterfly. The 3 pearls were made with a Kiwi pearl pen.

My flowers are recollections and a stem that I cut the flower from. I really like using colored wire that is spiraled around a paintbrush.

It has been a while since I have used dewdrops, but I rediscovered them for this project.

Champ

Champ - I made this card for my grandson's basketball coach. He is a gentleman, who has no family of his own, but coach's kids for the joy of seeing them improve in the sport. I real special man.

Here is the sketch for Sunday Sketch and Stamp. I like this sketch. It is simple, but still striking.

We are sponsored by Crimson Cloud this challenge.

My DP are We R Memory Keepers MVP. Many of the papers in this collection have trophy's and other sport images.

My Stamps are SU Great Sports. The basketball was colored with Copic's and the winged image was fussy cut.

The champ slider and buttons were die cuts that came with the paper. I threaded them with scrappers floss.

Frizzy Love

Frizzy Love - One Stop Craft Challenge has issued a new challenge to you, fellow crafters!! We want you to show us your Love is in the Air projects. Can you met this challenge? If so them after you finish reading my blog post, head straight to One Stop Craft Challenge and enter!

My Designer's Papers are MME, Moments.

We are sponsored by the adorable images of Saturated Canary. I love Krista's images; they are all so cute. I really liked the hair on this one, which is called Frizzy Jynx. Do you think she is as unruly as her hair is? I bet she is!!! When I seen this image, my first thought is that is a girl that only a mother could love, but OH Boy, would that mother ever love her! LOL

Frizzy Jynx is colored with Copics and her headband, heart pocket and a touch of her collar recieved some Stickles. Even a girl with this much mischief needs bling!

I used a SB die to make the hearts and a yellow pearl pen to make the tiny yellow pearls.

My sentiment and pother punches are SU.

Cupid

Cupid - It is Friday and that means it is time for another challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity. The challenge, which is sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs is Be My Valentine.

My papers are DCWV Love and Wedding.  All papers were inked with Vintage Photo Distress inks.

My image is Sassy Studio Design's Cupid. I really like this image with her bow and Arrow - Move over Katniss Aberdeen!

Cupid was colored using my beloved (since we are talking about love) Copics. She was cut using a SB. I also used lots of Stickles on her hair piece, sleeves and arrow.

My flowers are a variety. The center pink flower is HC. The red and cream are Petaloo and the tight pink ones are cut from stems.

The leave is a SU die.

This shoot is to show that I did use this element of the sketch, but most of it is hide by the flowers.

Chocolate Boxes

Chocolate Boxes - This fortnights challenge at Creative Card Crew is.... chocolate!!! I promise that there are no calories in looking at my post, but the same can not be said if you receive one of these.

We are sponsored by the fabulous Judy of Pizzazz Aplenty.

I have a group of ladies that I scrapbook with every Wednesday. We exchange homemade cards and small gifts 4 times a year and Valentines is one of the holidays that we exchange for.

My friends are super talented, so it is always a challenge to come up with something. This year I made chocolate survival kits. This containers that I picked up at the Dollar Tree are filled with chocolate goodies.

On the top of the boxes, I started with some pale pink tulle  then layered a doily on top of it. I then added more tulle.

I added some clear bead sprays and then a variety of flowers and a strand of pearls and topped it off with a glittery red heart.

You can see the tops of all 10 that I made.
