Hope and Prayers

Hope and prayers - At this time of year, I often think about the Hope that the birth of the Savior means to all of mankind. For me the promise feels me with hope and joy; but for many this time of year makes many going through pains of this life sad and depressed. It is hard to see joy in the world when you are in acute pain. For these people, they need more encouragement more now than at any other time of year. My Aunt who lost her husband last year, told me how she cried all day on Christmas last year, as she missed having my dear Uncle at her side. So this card is for all those people feeling pain and sorrow.
The image is Angel of Hope by Michelle Perkett. Michelle's images are so beautiful and can just touch your heart. The DP is Rustic by DCWV. The sentiment reads. Give your trouble to God. He will be up all night anyway. The ribbon accents and the flowers are Jolee stickers.

Woofie's Christmas

Woofie's Christmas - This cheerful fellow is Michelle Perkett's Woofie under the tree. Doesn't he look like he is ready for some Christmas magic?
Woofie and the tree are colored with Copic's and I used my new Spica pens to get the sparkly color on the gifts. DP is My Mind's Eye Christmas pad. I love the colors in it. It also has some glitter on the paper. The border punch is EK success Fleur. Ribbon was from Michael's. The glittery brads are recollections. I distressed the image with Tim Holtz distress ink "Peeled Paint." Peeled Paint is the color that I use most. I like the olivey tones in it.

Out On The Town

Out on the Town - Grumpy Gretchen by Digi's With Attitude! has stepped out on the town with her poodle! I would like to look like that when I walk a dog!
I colored Gretchen with Copic's. The sentiment is from a rub-on pack by Joanne's Essentials. I doodled around the edges with a black Sakura pen. The DP I picked up at Hobby Lobby and the ribbon was a scrap that I bummed from a friend. Thank you LuCindy!

The gemstones were hand placed. The challenge at Digi's With Attitude! is pink, black and silver, a nice change from all the Christmas. Not that I don't love all the Christmas, because I do, it is just nice to work with a different theme/colors for a change.

Joy

Joy -This image is called "Eris in Christmas Lights" by Sew Many Cards.

Eris was so fun to color. I love his big old ears. i colored him with Copics

His star was colored with Copics and Spica pens. I put some stickles on his lights and I used diamond glaze to make his eyes shiny.

The DP, sentiment, and flowers were from a kit by Making Memories called Fa La La.

Christmas Treasure

Christmas Treasure - The challenge this week at Creative Cards Crew is Treat bags or boxes. The sponser this week is Simon Says Stamps. They carry a wide range of crafting products to include Magnialia stamps, MS punches and Nesties. I used one each on this treat bag.

I whipped up this "Treasure" Bag for my grandson and 3 other little boys, who sometimes attend crops with my friends and I.
This is Magnolia's Pirate Edwin. I know how much little boys love pirates. Edwin was colored with Copics and I sat him on a candy cane that I cut with my Cricut. Christmas Cheer cartridge. The shiney little spray, I picked up at the dollar tree for 25 cents. Good deal, uh.

The sentiment is computer genarated. I filled it with candy canes and chocolate bars.

Singing In The Snow

Singing in the Snow - This cheery family is part of Michelle Perkett's new Snow Family series. The do some really fun things. You can check them out here.
I colored them with Copic's and used some of my new Spica pens to bling it up. I went over the "family" with a glitter marker. I used my snow writer to get the dimensional snow.

I used a CB folder and some snowflake eyelets. I used a piece of ribbon with a snowman charm. I also used some pearl sprays from the wedding aisle. Yes, I love to shop the wedding aisle for flowers and pearls.

You Did It!!!!

Yea!!! You Did It! - My handsome son is graduateing from Texas A&M next month. His father and I are so proud of him. Adam decided at the tender age of 4 that he wanted to be an Aggie. He later added on to that dream to be in the Corps of Cadets, in the Spider D Unit. Adam has met all of those goals. His newest goal was to be in intellence with the Army and he has been excepted into that. He graduates on the 17th of December and will commissioned in the Army on the 19th. He leaves for his training in Feburary. Enough bragging about my son and on to the card.

The image is cheerleader Grumpy Gretchen by Digi's With Attitude! This image is the freebie for the month of November. This card is the gradutation card that I will be giving Adam. Amanda if you see this, Don't tell Adam! I would like to say that this is me cheering him on, but the truth is that his biggest cheerleader has been his wonderful wife, Amanda. She has made a lot of sacrifices for Adam to get where he is. I used 3 DP that I had picked up in College Station when Adam first starting going to A&M. The ribbon I got at Hobby Lobby. I gave Grecthen's pom poms some stickles and her showes received some Diamond Glaze to make them shiney.

The challenge this week at Digi's With Attitude! challenge is to make a sports card for your favorite team. You don't have to use a Digi's with Attitude! image to enter. We are sponsered by Digi's With Attitude and mygrafico.

Ali Deer? This little "Deer" is one of the newest images by Sew Many Cards. I love that he/she is impersonating a deer.
My grandson is fascinated by crocodiles and alligators at the moment. His Dad took him to the Dallas Zoo where they have an Albino crocodile. I colored Ali light to reflect that crocodile. I will be sending this card to him for Christmas. He loves to get mail.

Ali was colored with Copics and He received some stickles on his raised scales. The DP is Bohemian. I punch white sugar paper with a snowflake punch that has been in my drawer forever. I added some little rhinestones to the center of the snowflakes. Ribbon was from my stash.

Doggie Joy

Doggie Joy - Michelle Perkett has again come out with an adorable line of pet images. If you are a cat or dog lover, her images are for you. This image is a freebie that she was giving out for the Doggie party on her CDC group. We had 1 hour to make a card with this image. Unfortunely, I was running a fever and I only made it long enough to color the image, then I had to go lay down. I was so disappointed, as these parties are so much fun. The next party is at 8PM EST on the 18th of November at Michelle's SNR group. This one will be the release party for the snowfamily release. Everything is a surprise, so I don't know it there will be any Freebie's or not. I hope you will join us for some fun at the party.
The camera faded the card which is to bad, as the DP is a rich red color. The DP is exclive to Hobby Lobby in their Seasonal Shop. I went through 2 of these paper pads last year and am working on my 3rd pad now. I just added a bit of ribbon and some rhinestones.

Snow Goddess

Snow Goddess - This beauty call Snow Goddess is one of Michelle Perkett's images. It is a favorite for many of us on her DT. I have seen her colored in lot of ways and she is always breathtaking. The first time I seen her colored was by my team mate Claire. Claire's card still steals my breath away whenever I see it. DP is Celebrate The Season that I picked up at Hobby Lobby 3 years ago.

I colored Snow Goddess with Copics and added gold leaf to the hollys.

I punched 2 snowflakes from sugar paper and put the snowflake eyelet trough the center. The gold tuille I also picked up at Hobby Lobby The glittered brad heads were also in Hobby Lobbies season shop.

Keep checking the challenge blog at Michelle Perkett's as Marion is working on a posting to show this image done by different team members.

Soup Pot

Soup Pot - Animals With Attitude! is here. Isn't Gretta Gobble adorable? She was so much fun to color. I love the wings on her hips. My husband would definitely say she is a girl turkey with that pose.
I colored Gretta with Copics and added some Stickles to her tail feathers, so she would have some sparkle. The DP is from a block that long ago lost it's cover with the company name. I added some feathers around the sentiment. The border is a MS punch and topped with some tiny lavender gemstones.
