Monochromatic fairy

Monochromatic Fairy - For my Copic class we are being challenged to make a monochromic card. This is Michelle Perkett's Holly fairy. I like her in the monochomatic colors. As many of you know I like to change an image from the expected to the unexpected. Holly is colored with my Copics. The paper is from the Rustic pack by DCWV. I used some flowersoft on the fur of her dress. The snow recieved some icicle Stickles and the leaves and the center of the poinnettas in her hair recieves some plantium Stickles. The ribbon and the little wired beads were from my stash.

Unto us

Unto us - This is the last of the 3 cards that I designed for the Penny pinching class that I am teaching Friday night. When I broke down the cost per card it equelled only 10 cent per card. And if it was gotten on sale at least at 40% off it would only be 6 cent per card!!!! I kept it simple because many of the ladies will not have had any expereince at card making.
I used a stampset by Inkadinkadoo. Gold embossing powder and a tiny gemstone by Darcie.

Coming up Roses

Coming up Roses - Rosie by Michelle Perkett is so sweet. Michelle does such awesome fairies. Rosie is colored with Copics. The card design is called a double display. It is not as diffecult as it looks. The DP is some that I had in my stash from a big block that I bought at Hobby Lobby about 5 years ago. The Ribbon is a piece that was off of a package that I recieved a while back. The embellishment I created from a vine sprig and some flowers by Recollections. I really liked the crystals in the vine sprig, it really captured the light. I also used some stickles on the rosed on Rosies outfit. I used with a stardust pen on the wings.

O' Christmas Tree

O' Christmas Tree - I can't believe how quick Christmas is coming around. I have offered to teach a Christmas card making class for the ladies of my church and this is one we will be doing. The DP is by The Paper Studio. The strip is out of a package made by K & Comany. The ribbon is Make it Christmas. I purchased this stamp by Judy at the convention. I is just a little sprigg that you stamp several times to make a tree. Judy had several little stamps like this that can be made into lots of things (you can make a wreath by stamping it in a circle, or part of a bouque by stamping it coming out of a vase.) The bling is Darices.

Old Fashioned Birthday

Old Fashioned Birthday - This fun image of Polly, Dolly and William is from the pen of Michelle Perkett. I love her images. They have lots of curls and swirls. I colored PDW with Copics and I used a fun new method of coloring in pastels. It was fun to try. I did not use any stickles or glitter on this card as it is going to our soldiers in OWH. The glitter can make it easier for our enemies to see them.

Autumn Tree

Autumn Tree - This is one of those images that is beautiful in it's simplisty. The image is by Sarasoga. The tree trunk is colored with Copics and the leaves are stamped with verious inks. The DP is Alleghany by K & Company. I will be sending this card to Rick in Iraq. It is a good card for that, because there is no glitter and it is flat. Something that I don't do very often.

Crimson Hope

Crimson Hope- I love this image!!! She was so easy to color. I think this is my favorite of all the cards that I have done recently. You can get this digi stamp a Michell'e Esty Shop. She is colored with Copics. For one of the challenges we were to use an aperture which I think is a window. If you look at the image closely in the first image you can see the shine over the image. That is the window made with acetate. The image is actually on the inside of the card. The 2nd photo is the inside view.

Book Adventure

Book Adventure - Stella takes great delight in reading. The flowers and a bird are also enchanted by the story that Stella is reading. Stella is a Michelle Perkett image and was colored with Copics. The DP is S.E.I. The gemstones are Darcie. I also used stickle on the hem of her dress and Matte accents on her glasses and shoes. The stitching was done with a Sakura Gelly Roll pen. The flowers I rolled with my new Cuttlebug quilling kit. This one is the daisy.

Jolly Old St Nick

Jolly Old St Nick - This was a quick card that I did tonight. The Santa stamp is Inkadinkado, colored with Copics and the tiny gemstones I picked up at Joann's.

Sweetie

Sweetie - This is the treat box that I made for the candy party at Michelle Perkett's group on CDA that we had on Sunday. We had no idea what the challenge would be and only 1 hour to come up with a container that could hold candy. The party was a blast and it was really fun to see what everyone came up with on such short notice. It also meant that we had to use what we had on hand, as there was no time to run to the craft store. I had such a fun time. You can get this image at Michelle's Esty shop.

Autumn Willow

Autumn Willow - The awesome image is Willow by Michelle Perkett. You can can get this image at www.etsy.com/shop/michelleperkett. I colored her before in blues, but it made me only want to color her again in the richness of the fall. I colored Willow with Copics and the berries and the veins of her wings with Pearl EX. I am going to have to do more research on the product because even after heatsetting it still wipes off whenever I run my finger across it. DP is Laundy Line by MME. If you will look carefully you will see that the panels for the sketch are tulle. The orange tulle is easier to see than the gold. I also used some small pieces of the tulle for the flower bow.

A Day at the Park

A Day at the Park - Image is Skater Ian by the Greeting Farm. I thought of Tyler when I bought this stamp. Ian is colored with Copics. DP is Crate paper Orbit Collection. It is double sided, so I was able to flip it over and use both sides. I have no idea who made the flowers. Did you notice that the center of the flower is a wheel? I found these cute wheel brads, by Leaps and Bounds, a while back and have been hoarding them. I used just a tiny bit of yellow stickles on Ian's star.

B/W Cake

B/W Cake - I designed this cake thinking of it as a Birthday Cake, but now I think it is more like a wedding cake. The cake is cut with my trusty Cricut and my favorite cardridge; Summer in Paris. The ribbon is Sheery Yours and the brown roses are recollections. I tied the ribbon useing the bow easy. The little roses on the cake were rolled with a quilling tool.
